Dear Parents and Guardians:
My name is Lori Jolley and I am the PTA President for 2011-2012. I had the privilege to serve in the same capacity last year, and am looking forward to another great year.
PTA works together with parents, faculty, staff and administrators to promote the welfare of all children. This is our primary concern.
We start the year off, by hosting the Chimney Lakes Elementary Staff Back to School Breakfast during the week of pre-planning. On the first day of school we sponsor a Kindergarten Boo-Hoo Breakfast for all of our first time kindergarten parents, and answer any questions they may have. We look forward to meeting all of the other parents at Open House. We facilitate many other important events throughout the year such as PE Play Day, Vision Screening for all students, School Pictures, Multi-Cultural Fair, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, Parent Magnet Middle School Information Night, Math Superstars program and National PTA Reflections Program.
I would like to encourage you to join PTA this year. Being a member of PTA does not obligate you to any time here at the school, unless you want to. We of course always welcome, and value, any volunteer time that is given, whether here at school, in the evenings at home, or on a field trip. It is just an investment in your child and their education, as we use part of the dues to fund some of the above mentioned programs.
