Book of the Month
The Book of the Month is a book chosen each month and provided to each class, allowing all students in the school to discuss a common book. Teachers use the book to build a repertoire of authentic literature experiences as well as teach basic skills through Readers' and Writers' Workshop. Once the book has been read and discussed, students are asked to respond in a variety of ways. Different strategies are presented to go along with each book to help strengthen the student's comprehension.
