PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Message From The Principal

Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!

“College begins in Kindergarten” is a slogan of the Education Trust.  I share those values.  While not every student will attend a four year college, it is imperative that all students need to graduate from high school with the same skills reserved for college-bound students so that they may be successful in any career-path they choose.

Our schools must prepare all students to learn and prosper in an increasingly complex, technological and interdependent world.  As much, all students must graduate from high school with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in both post-secondary education and the world at work.  While it is true that more is required of students today to meet the challenges of the 21st century, it is also true that our students are capable of meeting these challenges.

Working together parents, teachers, administrators and communities can educate all of our students to high levels of academic achievement.  It is imperative that we collectively encourage our students to take responsibility for his/her learning, growth and success.

Ed White High School is a dynamic school with highly talented and committed educators who are actively engaged in continuous professional improvement.  We want to ensure academic excellence as the standard for all students.  Our student body is second-to-none and are achieving at every level.

This school year promises to be an exciting one as we continue to create a new future.  I am excited about working with you during the 2011-2012 school year.  We have a shared interest in the school; so let us “expect more” and work together in the spirit of unity and trust for the good of our students.

I welcome your support of our students by encouraging you to volunteer your time to support our school.  You are always welcome at Ed White High School.

Go Commanders!

Benjamin Perry, Principal
