Principal's Message
As your new
principal, I am quickly learning just how awesome
a school Holiday Hill Elementary is. The community is
also amazing - and so very supportive of all the hard
work taking place here every day!
The dedication and
commitment of teachers I have witnessed daily is only
one indicator of the many accomplishments realized for
this school over the years. In my conversations with
many of you and the parents who have stopped in to meet
me, it is obvious you have succeeded in creating a
learning environment that is caring and nurturing of
everyone who steps through the door! The term I hear
people use consistently to describe Holiday Hill is
“family”. When I think of the word family I think of
the following descriptors:
-
relations,
-
unit,
-
children,
-
descendants,
-
intimate, and
-
dynasty.
Each of these
descriptors are inherently integral to our continuing to
build on your successes from the previous school years.
As part of the Holiday Hill educational unit, I look
forward to working closely with each of you to further
strengthen the many layers of relationships within our
school and professional communities. Many of our
students and teachers are representative of a long line
of Holiday Hill families. As a magnet school, many
children and teachers will be new to our school this
year. Dynasties are founded on history with an eye to
the future. Therefore, I’m excited about the many ways
history and the enthusiasm of new beginnings will
combine in our strengthening our dynasty in the years to
come!
Among the new faces
to Holiday Hill this year are mostly kindergarten
students. I know you will join me in welcoming these
students to our school. They represent the future of
Holiday Hill and are among our community’s most precious
resources for the future of our city and society. We
all will also celebrate every child who enters our
campus as one to be treasured and as one who deserves
our attention to be strategic in how we meet each of
their academic needs. We’re off to a great start this
school year!
Sincerely,
Denise S. Ahearn
