            Welcome back to a new and exciting school year at John E. Ford K-8 School!  We hope you had a wonderful summer vacation and are ready to begin the 2011-2012 year.  We know it will be full of new learning experiences and discoveries. Our theme this year is “Growing Leaders & Learners”.  The administration and our team of teachers and coaches are dedicated to providing a safe and caring learning environment in order that our students “grow” to their fullest potential academically and socially.  Our goal is to not only provide the academic rigor necessary for our continued success, but also to emphasize character education and good citizenship.   We look forward to the same high level of commitment from our students and parents as we have experienced in the past. 

We have redesigned our website and updated the information to make it more easily accessible.  There are many tools available for your child to use at home to further their learning.  Please refer to the website often for updates about current events taking place at John E. Ford.  You may also want to contact your child’s teacher through the contact list and view the current happenings in his/her classroom on the individual websites. 

Thank you for entrusting your child to us and we look forward to working collaboratively with you to provide educational experiences that produce “growth” during the 2011-12 school year.  As always, if there is anyway for us to make your year better please let us know.
