Teacher of the Year: Tonya Peterson

Mrs. Peterson currently teaches second grade at Kernan Trail. She serves the school as a Grade Level Curriculum Leader. She is dedicated to the academic growth of all students. She started teaching in Duval County in 2001 and came to Kernan in 2002. Mrs. Peterson was born in Cleveland Ohio and went to college at Marshall University. She has 2 year old daughter, Kyleigh, and is married to another educator in Duval County. Kernan Trail is proud to have her as our 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year.
