First Grade News
Can you believe that we are halfway through first grade? We still have so much to do! You can always find out what we are working on by looking at your child's weekly homework sheet or by going to the Academic Looking Glass link on the Lone Star website. One way parents can help at home is by making sure that you are reading with your child each night and putting books on their book log. Be sure to ask questions about the story when you are done and/or have your child retell the story in detail. Welcome to Ms. Holly Hartman, our new first grade teacher! She is co-teaching with Mrs. Cameron.
Remember, if you want to chaperone or volunteer in the classroom, you must register on-line at duvalschools.org (under “community” section – see “volunteer information”).
