4th Grade

Welcome back students and parents.
Fourth grade is a big year for all of us. This year your child
will have FCAT tests in reading, writing, and math. Let us know
if you need a supply list. Start practicing those multiplication
math facts right away. A trip to the library or book store might
help you find some interesting reading materials. Teachers also
have many books in the classroom that they are happy to loan
out. We look forward to seeing you at the fourth grade Open
House which will be September the 10th, a book fair and resource
extravaganza will be held in the media center afterwards. A big
thank you to all of you who stopped by for orientation.
We ask that parents/guardians support their child and the teacher by doing the following:
- Check your child’s agenda for homework assignments, teacher communication, important events, school notes, information, etc. on a daily basis.
- Sign your child’s agenda every day.
- Notify your child’s teacher as soon as you have any questions or concerns.
- Make sure your child is adhering to the school dress code.
To increase success during the school year, students should:
- Establish a routine that includes good study habits.
- Be responsible for all assignments.
- Copy homework assignments into the agenda on a daily basis.
- Check off all completed homework assignments.
- Have a parent/guardian review the assignments and sign the agenda on a daily basis.
- Ask for help from the teacher when needed.
- Take home, get parent/guardian signature, and return all notes, progress reports, report cards, etc. in a timely manner.
- Complete classwork, homework, and projects on time.
