Academics

In Writer's Workshop, students are working on finishing their narrative stories.  We are editing, revising, and publishing these pieces in class.

In Reader's Workshop, we are wrapping up Theme 1 and beginning Theme 2 in our textbook.

In math, students are completing; developing strategies for estimating answers to difficult multiplication and division problems, reading, writing, and sequencing multiples of 5,000 up to 1,000,000. Our next unit is about finding equivalent fractions, decimal and percents.

Our Social Studies lessons are about Native Americans and the people that settled the United States for various reasons including: religious, economic, political, geographic and social.

The area we studying in Science right now is physical and chemical change and next we change to energy.
