Kindergarten News!

The zoo field trip will be on April 16th, and we will need many volunteers.
 
Every child has been evaluated to see where their reading levels are at this time.  Check with your child's teacher so you can work on their specific reading level.   The public library is a good resource for specific reading levels for your child. 
We are working on phoneme segmentation and phoneme awareness. 

Vocabulary words they should know are the following:

a, and, can, for, have, here, I , it , is,  like, my, see, the, to, said, we
 
We are exploring shapes and where we see them in our  everyday world. Children are expected to recite and write numbers to twenty for the third nine week period.
 In Social Studies we are working on things related to long ago and today.
