Welcome back to P.E. everyone!  I am excited to be working with your students and helping them become healthier.  Because we move our bodies in different and faster ways, there is an increased risk of injury in my class.  To help reduce this risk, please make sure that your child is wearing appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing when it is their turn to attend P.E. class.  Appropriate footwear includes closed toe and closed heel shoes with socks that cannot slip off the foot easily.  No sandals, high heels, flip-flops, slides, slippers, or skate shoes will be allowed in P.E.  If your child attends P.E. with these shoes on, they will not be able to participate. 

Lone Star Mileage Club

This year I am excited to announce the continuation of our Mileage Club for all students in grades 3-5.  Lone Star Mileage Club is a fitness incentive program designed to encourage students to be more active during their class P.E. time.  For every 5 miles (30 laps) the students walk, jog or run, they will receive a Toe Token to be placed on a Brag Bracelet.  Encourage your student to be more active by ensuring that they wear comfortable shoes and socks every day.
