Administration Welcome to our new Principal: Welcome to Ortega Elementary School, home of the Ocelots. We are very excited that Ortega Elementary has earned a grade of ‘A’ from the State of Florida for our academic achievements as reported on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Tests. This is a reflection of hard working students, teachers, and parents that are dedicated to making Ortega the best school in Duval County. Please help us continue to achieve high standards as we begin our 2009-2010 school year with the theme “Learning Around the World in 180 Days”. As we explore learning, each grade level will be represented by a different continent. I am also very excited to have been appointed as your new principal. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. So, gather your backpack and your passport as we begin our adventure……. learning around the world. ~Ms. Stephanie Shepard ** Please click the name above to link to our School Improvement Plan, which has in depth information.**
