Principal's Corner

Welcome Back! I am so excited to announce that Ortega has earned an "A"!!! This "A" was earned by nothing short of hard work and dedication from our students, teachers, and parents. It is going to be a year filled with excitement and hard work as we work to exhibit our knowledge. We are looking forward to another exciting and successful year at Ortega as we continue our tradition of excellence in education. Our new mission statement really speaks volumes for what we will be doing here at Ortega.

I would also like to introduce two new faculty members:

  • Ms. Vance- 5th grade Language Arts and Ms. Williams- music
  • We are very excited to welcome them onboard!!!

Open House will be held on Thursday, September 15th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.Please meet in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. for a brief PTA meeting. You will then report to your child’s class at 6:30 for a message I will deliver via closed-circuit TV. Following my message, your child’s teacher will talk with you about your child’s daily schedule and academic expectations. There will be a second session for those of you with more than one child. Please make every effort to attend this very informative evening.

Let me encourage you to join the PTA and become involved in your child’s school. Our PTA is vital to the success of our school. Joining PTA does not mean you must become a volunteer, so please join today. (However, volunteers are always welcome!)
