PSAT/MNSQT INFORMATION

 

WHO?       All ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders

 

WHAT?     Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

 

WHEN?     Wednesday, October 14, 2009 

 

WHERE?  PAXON School for Advanced Studies

 

WHY?     

  • Practice for the Scholastic Assessment Test

  • Gain feedback on areas of strength and weakness to improve test scores

  • For juniors, qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program Competition

  • Gain access to services at the College Board website

HOW?     

  • Ninth and tenth graders are paid for by the district and state, respectively.

  • Juniors must pay the $13.00 test fee.

  • Money is being collected through English class.

  • Cash or check/money order payable to PAXON

  

All students grade 9-11 should have received a PSAT bulletin including a full length practice test from their English teachers.

 

It is the expectation that all PAXON students grades 9-11

will take the PSAT/NMSQT as part of the PAXON curriculum.
