NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2015-16 COHORT
The mission of the Jacksonville Teacher Residency program is to recruit, prepare and retain a diverse population of highly effective teachers who serve in high-needs schools to ensure that Duval County students are college and career ready.
·Undergraduate or Master's degree in Science, Mathematics or STEM-related field
·GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate study
*Those who have professional teaching certification or a degree in education are ineligible.
Steps to Apply (Must be completed in order as outlined below)
1. Submit Prospect Form. All Prospects will receive an email notification of eligibility within 72 hours.
2. Those that meet ALL eligibility requirements will receive Application Packet. The deadline to submit a completed application packet via email is February 8, 2015.
3. Highest potential applicants will be invited to attend Selection Dayis March 7, 2015. Attendance is mandatory!
4. JTR Residency Finalists will be invited to apply for JTR's graduate school program after Selection Day. Final acceptance as a JTR Resident is contingent upon admittance into UNF Graduate School for the Summer of 2015.
