About Ronrica Pinkney
Ronrica Pinkney has taught for seven years in Duval County. Her role in education is to provide all children with positive learning experiences that are relevant to their daily lives, and enable them to compete in an ever-changing global society. She takes an interest in her students not only meeting their academic needs, but also their personal and social needs.
At her previous school, Ms. Pinkney presented math lessons during the morning announcements two days a week. This experience was a powerful teaching tool not only for teachers and students, but for her as well. She also served as a Math Coach for first and third grade teachers, assisting them in the process of planning as a team in mathematics instruction.
“It takes collaboration and relationships between teachers, students, parents and community stakeholders to ensure that every child receives the best education. I must consider it a personal challenge and great responsibility to have each child entrusted to me demonstrate continuous academic growth throughout the school year.”

“My daughter was placed in Ms. Pinkney’s fifth grade class in 2004-2005. Initially, my daughter was not sure she would fit in. She was quiet and shy like many new students. Ms. Pinkney played a pivotal role in addressing her concerns. She was also an excellent role model. She was proactive and very intuitive. She not only helped with academics, but also helped to make the adjustment to the new surroundings. At the end of the year, my daughter had all A’s and B’s on her report card and had matured mentally, socially and emotionally.”
