Hello, I have a concern regarding the new traffic pattern for car riders. There is not much room for car riders to wait at pick up time. The street side of Anders was all lined up. The street all along Skycrest was lined up. Cars were lined up waiting out on Forest to turn either on to Anders or Skycrest. Traffic was a real mess yesterday. I hope if it does not start to run smoothly after a few days, that you will consider changing car riders back to the location it has been out for several years prior. Traffic was backed up. It makes it hard when there is a line of cars waiting on a street and your trying to get back out after exiting the car port area and then other cars are trying to come down the street/residents etc... I hope you will review this car situation after a few days and if it is still not running smoothly, change it back to how it was before. Thanks and have a great day!

Hello! I was wondering why 2nd graders this year do not start to go to lunch until around 12 noon or later?? Last year 2nd graders started eating lunch around 11:05 a.m. It makes it harder on a younger child when they don't eat much for breakfast and lunch is much later this year than compared to last year. Why was 2nd graders moved from 11:00 lunch break to around 12:00 this year? Thanks for your review and have a great day!

Just a bunch of questions...New school year... Thanks for being understanding and patient... When a student has to go to the restroom and there is not one inside of their classroom, does another student go with them, like a buddy system? I was wondering because a parent had told me that their son could not get out of the bathroom closest to the lobby/lunch area. That the door is extremely heavy and their son was pounding on the door and hollering. Finally, someone came by and heard him and opened the door for him. I just don't want to see any child in that scary position if you can't open and door and want to get out. There was someone who had walked with him, but returned to the class and left him. For morning drop off there are still cars turning off of Forest on to Anders, are we allowed to come that way in the mornings, but just not at pick up time when the car ride line is very long?? With the new location of car riders this year, in years past I was able to drive by the front of the school, look at the billboard and see what events were coming up and on what dates. With the recent child abduction and killing in Orange Park of a girl on her way home from school, does Windy Hill plan to talk to students about stranger danger and being safe?? Parents can not talk to their kids enough and maybe gathering the kids together in school and talking about stranger danger and showing them some things, they can see and understand. Hello, We will be moving to the Touchton Rd area on Feb 13, 2010 and I will need to transfer my daughter from Thomas Jefferson Elementary.
