My name is Corinne Frederickson and I will be your
child’s kindergarten teacher this year. Although
this will be my first year working at Windy Hill
Elementary, I have five years of experience as a
kindergarten teacher. I graduated with a Masters
degree in Early Childhood Education from the
University of Florida, with an emphasis in Early
Childhood Special Education. In my free time I
enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with my
husband, Fred, and our dog Gizzie. I am so excited
to be joining the Windy Hill family and I look
forward to working with you this year to make your
child’s kindergarten experience a success! If you

I am teaching Kindergarten this year. I have
taught for 12 years,
I’m married to my wonderful husband Deshmund, we
have 2 children Demareus Hancock 16 & Amariya
Hancock 6.
I graduated from Wynne High School (diploma),
East Arkansas Community College (AA degree),
Arkansas University (Bachelor in General
Studies: with an Emphasis in Elementary
Education, Sociology, and Health), Harding
University (Master in Arts and Teaching).
I was nominated as 2008-2009 Windy Hill Teacher
of the Year; I currently serve as the schools
Magnet Lead Teacher & Teachers of Tomorrow
Sponsor.

reading, playing my Nintendo DS, crocheting
and watching old, OLD movies.

My name is Kay L. Odom and I
am currently teaching Kindergarten. I have
been teaching Kindergarten over 15 years and
have been teaching school for over 30
years.
I grew up in Jacksonville
Beach with my parents and six siblings. I
attended Public schools at the Beach. I
received my B.A degree in Early
Childhood/Elementary Education from the
University of North Florida.
I have one daughter, a son in
law and three beautiful grandchildren who
live in Rhode Island.
One of my favorite things to
do is go to the movies with friends.
I am looking forward to
another great year at Windy Hill!

I am currently teaching ESOL kindergarten. This is
my 30th year of teaching and my 24th year at Windy
Hill. My husband and I both graduated from
Jacksonville University in 1974. I have a B.S.
degree in Elementary Education. I'm certified Pre-K
through 6th and ESOL.
I live at the beach with my husband Steve. We have
two married sons and 6
grandchildren; Jonah-7, Julia -5, twins Lorelei &
Mateo -7 Noah-2, and Grace 6 months.
. We have 5 teachers in the family.
My husband and I love to snorkel, kayak, travel,
ride bikes, garden and just enjoy the beach.
Since I lived all over the country as a child, I
never attended a Duval County school.

My name is Mrs. Sheila C. Williams. I am a
first grade teacher.
I
have been teaching for 10 years (all 10
years at Windy Hill)
I enjoy spending time with my family, going
to the movies, and shopping.
Orlando is one of my favorite places to
visit. Spending a day at one of Disney's
water parks is one of favorite things to do
with my family.
I graduated with an Associate in Arts degree
from Florida Community College at
Jacksonville which is now known as Florida
State College. I also received a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Pre-K/Primary Education
(Pre-K through 3rd grade) from University of
North Florida.
As a child I attended Forest Hills
Elementary School which is now known as
Sally B. Mathis and I graduated from
Williams Marion Raines Senior High School.
