 The ACHS Mission Statement is under development.

 In this first year, the Atlantic Coast High School Team is working together to develop a mission statement that fully expresses the drive that directs the teachers and administration in the decisions that affect the students at Atlantic Coast High School.

SCHOOL BELIEFS 

  • All students can learn and student learning is the priority at ACHS.

  • Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of opportunities for meaningful applications of what they have learned.

  • Students need to demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills and be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work using this understanding.

  • Curriculum and instructional practices incorporate a variety of learning activities to accommodate differences in learning styles.

  • Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs and talents.

  • Assessment of student learning should provide students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their learning.
