WHAT IS YOUR ART AREA?

  •  Arts or Graphic Design

  • Performance-based art such as Music, Spoken word or Poetry

  • Merit-based community service

High school students are encouraged to express their visions of art and achievement. The theme of the contest is “For the Love of Music" and students in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 are eligible to participate. The judged categories will be: Arts & Graphic Design, Performance-based (Music/Spoken word/Poetry), and Merit-based (this year’s Community Service efforts detailed in 500-word or less essay format).

 

The music and art contest is now open for online registration at www.jacksonvillesuperfest.com.  Submissions will require a completed faculty letter, artist release and statement of originality to upload during registration (instructions enclosed). All literature and video must be in the English language. All artwork (painting, sketch, sculpture, etc.) is uploaded as a digital image. Music and video are uploaded through YouTube and the link must be submitted during the online registration process.

Deadline for submission is Friday, March 30, 2012.

Winners will be announced Monday, April 2, 2012.
