  Tutoring Writing Workshops

All students attending tutoring/ help sessions below must have a ride home scheduled before they are allowed to stay after school.  None of the help/tutoring sessions below occur on Early Dismissal days.

FCAT Prep Tools:

FCAT Thursdays: Room 322 Thursdays (2:00 to 4:00)
For any student that needs to work on FCAT Reading skills. Specifically designed for those students in Intensive Reading classes. Remember: retakes are in April.

Compass Odyssey - Go the the Language Arts Assignments or the Math Assignments for a Learning Path designed to help you prepare for the FCAT.

Learning Recovery:

Room 321 and 621 Tuesday & Wednesday, 1:45-2:45.
For any subject that you need to work on in the Compass Odyssey.

In order to participate in Learning Recovery to improve a grade, the form must be completed and submitted to the appropriate teacher no later than one week after report cards are issued. Only after all areas of the assignment are successfully completed will a grade be changed.

A specific plan will be provided following the completion and return of this form by the due date. A student who participates in the Learning Recovery Program to improve a quarterly grade of "D" or "F" may not receive a grade higher than a "C."

Writing Workshops in the
ACHS Writing Lab:
HoursTuesday from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in room 123.

Help with essay, SAT, or ACT writing

The purpose of the Writing Lab is provide resources, advice, and ideas relating to all writing across the curriculum.  Students can work on everything from bibliographic research needs and thesis development to college application and AP, SAT essays. 
 To fully utilize the writing lab’s resources, Students are asked to bring specific needs or assignments (and associated rubrics) when they attend the writing lab.  The more information they have, the more productive the lab.

June 17th: Registration of Summer Credit Recovery students begins
June 20th: Summer Credit recovery begins for High School Students
June 24th: Last day for High School students to enroll in Summer Credit Recovery
