Requested Action:
THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE SETTLEMENT IN THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIM OF CARLO BURGOS IN THE AMOUNT OF $69,600.

Summary Explanation and Background:

Carlo Burgos suffered a work-related injury during his employment as a custodian with the school system.  The recommended settlement is a complete release of all indemnity, medical costs, and attorney fees relating to his injuries.  This settlement is recommended by the Johns Eastern Company, Inc., the Safety Department, and the Office of General Counsel.
