Requested Action:

THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE SETTLEMENT IN THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIM OF EDNA WILLIAMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Edna Williams suffered a work-related injury during her employment as a food service worker with the school system.  The recommended settlement is a complete release of all indemnity, medical costs, and attorney fees relating to her injuries.  This settlement is recommended by the Johns Eastern Company, Inc., the Safety Department, and the Office of General Counsel.
