Title: 1. BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SOFTWARE Requested Action: 1. CONFIRM CONTRACT NEGOTIATION FOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SOFTWARE, SUPPORTING HARDWARE AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES WITH _______________________IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000. 2. UPON COMPLETION OF NEGOTIATION, AUTHORIZE BOARD CHAIRMAN AND SUPERINTENDENT TO SIGN CONTRACT FOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE PACKAGE PURCHASE. Summary Explanation and Background: The District currently does not have a robust and standard tool for developing reports from various databases. The Board and all major departments need such software in order to better develop reports that are meaningful to our educational operations. The software will be able to access all databases and concurrently report data from different databases at the same time. The software will also be more user friendly in order for common users to be able to run ad hoc queries. Part of the contract negotiation will be for a proof of concept period with established success criteria prior acceptance of the full product and full payment price. Funding comes from within current year capital budget.
