Summary Explanation and Background:

The MSP grant program seeks to improve student outcomes in mathematics and science among all students at PreK-12 levels. This grant is offered by the National Science Foundation and builds upon the foundations established in Duval County. MSP will build upon DCPS' Best Practices in, but not limited to: Jacksonville’s Urban Systemic Initiative (JUSI), JU’s field-based program, DCPS’ Standards-based Education, Stigler's Model of lesson design, UNF’s Professional Development Schools and UF’s Opportunity Alliance.

Partnerships must be formed with Institutes of Higher Education (IHE) with shared goals, shared responsibilities, and shared accountability. DCPS will have Core partners and supportive partners.
