THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES SETTLEMENT IN THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIM OF BETTY LONG IN THE AMOUNT OF $215,000.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Betty Long suffered a work-related injury during her employment as a teacher/administrator with the school system.  The recommended settlement is a complete release of all indemnity, medical costs, and attorney fees relating to her injuries.  This settlement is recommended by the Johns Eastern Company, Inc., the Safety Department, and the Office of General Counsel.
