Title: 5.  POLICY REVIEW CONTRACT WITH EDUCATIONAL MANAGMENT CONSULTANT SERVICES, INC (EMCS)

Requested Action:
THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $93,700 WITH EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT SERVICES, INC., TO PROVIDE POLICY REVISION AND UPDATE SERVICES TO THE DISTRICT.

Summary Explanation and Background:

In accordance with a request by the BROAD Institute, the Distirct investigated options regarding utilizing a policy review company to assist the Board in revising and updating its current policies.  The company would provide policy revisions that would be applicable to current statutes, rules and regulations as well as speak address the unique issues of Duval County Schools.  The Board would be presented with proposed changes and would then be able to vote on a final updated and revised product.

Financial Impact:
$93,700 to be paid in three installments
