Title: 5. NURSING SERVICES – TEMPORARY

Requested Action:

RECOMMEND AWARD OF SOURCE OF SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR NURSING SERVICES – TEMPORARY TO LOW CONFORMING BIDDERS FOR THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 8, 2005 THROUGH MAY 31, 2006.  RECOMMEND AUTHORITY BE DELEGATED TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OR HER DESIGNEE TO RENEW CONTRACTS FOR SUBSEQUENT YEARS PROVIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.  THERE ARE FOUR POTENTIAL RENEWALS.

Summary Explanation and Background:

This is a request by the General Director, Student Services to provide a source of supply for temporary nursing services to be utilized at schools throughout the district.  The estimated expenditures for this contract are $100,000.

This bid was coordinated through Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the solicitation.  (ITB-038-05/EM)
