Title: 2. LOCK SUPPLIES

Requested Action:

RECOMMEND AWARD OF SOURCE OF SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR LOCK SUPPLIES TO LOW CONFORMING BIDDERS FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 6, 2005 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2006.  RECOMMEND AUTHORITY BE DELEGATED TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OR DESIGNEE TO RENEW THE CONTRACT FOR SUBSEQUENT YEARS PROVIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.  THERE ARE TWO POTENTIAL RENEWALS.

Summary Explanation and Background:

This is a procurement request to provide a source of supply for lock supplies to be utilized by the maintenance warehouse. The expenditures for the previous contract period were $162,175. Estimated expenditures for this contract period are $220,000.  This solicitation was coordinated through the office of Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the solicitation.  (ITB-042-05/RW)
