Requested Action:
THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD VOTE TO ADOPT POLICY BJC, TITLED: SUPPORT STAFF CAREER DEVELOPMENT, SUBTITLED: INSERVICE TRAINING FOR NON-CERTIFICATED PERSONNEL

Summary Explanation and Background:

The Duval County School Board has been participating in Reform Governance in Action with the Broad Foundation for the past year.  This training has resulted in the development of this policy.  The goal of this policy is to support professional development for all non-certificated staff members.

A public hearing was held during the School Board's regular business meeting in November, 2006. This policy was properly noticed under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
