Title: 1. CLASSROOM & ART SUPPLIES CATALOG DISCOUNT

Requested Action:
THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE A SOURCE OF SUPPLY FOR FURNISHING AND DELIVERING VARIOUS TYPES OF CLASSROOM AND ART SUPPLIES TO BE PURCHASED BY DUVAL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS (DCPS) FROM DATE OF AWARD THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008.

Summary Explanation and Background:

This is a procurement request by the Director of Property Management/Warehousing to provide a source of supply for classroom and art supplies to be utilized by all DCPS schools.  The award is made to all vendors who were responsive in submitting a catalog or descriptive price list with at least a 5% discount.  The awarded vendors are to be placed on the list of awarded vendors that is published and promulgated to schools and departments.

The amount expended during the previous contract period was $392,920.  This bid was coordinated through the Office of Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the bid solicitation.  The estimated financial impact for this contract period is $432,000. (ITB-011-07/LM)
