THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD RENEW THE CONTRACT FOR EMPLOYEE GROUP LIFE INSURANCE WITH UNUM LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA, CECIL W. POWELL AND COMPANY, AGENT, WITH THE FOLLOWING MONTHLY RATES FOR THE PERIOD 10/01/07 - 9/30/08.

BASIC COVERAGE                      $0.15/$1,000

SUPPLEMENTAL COVERAGE      $0.275/$1,000

RETIREE COVERAGE                   $3.250/$1,000

Summary Explanation and Background:
UNUM Life Insurance Company of America is renewing this coverage for the 2007-2008 contract year.  This coverage is for Group Employers Life Insurance offered to all full time regular employees of Duval County School Board.  UNUM has provided acceptable service for this contract.  This reflects no increase in the basic or supplemental life insurance coverage.
