Title: 10.Horizontal Blinds

Requested Action:

RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF SOURCE OF SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR HORIZONTAL BLINDS WITH DESIGNING DÉCOR′ FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 4, 2003 THROUGH MAY 31, 2004.  RECOMMEND AUTHORITY BE DELEGATED TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OR HIS DESIGNEE TO RENEW THE CONTRACT FOR SUBSEQUENT YEARS PROVIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE TO THE DISTRICT AND SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.  THERE ARE TWO POTENTIAL RENEWALS.

Summary Explanation and Background:

This is a procurement request by the Coordinator, Plant Services to provide a source of supply for horizontal blinds.  This contract will be utilized to repair and replace blinds at schools throughout the district.  Estimated expenditures for this contract are $100,000.00.  This bid was coordinated through the Director, Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the bid solicitation.  (ITB-026-03/RW)
