Title: 12. REPLACEMENT: FISH Report Validation/Educational Plant Survey 2003‑2008, Facilities Master Plan Consultants: Contract Award to Professional Services Firm Requested Action: RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FIRM OF URS CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN OF FISH REPORT VALIDATION/EDUCATIONAL PLANT SURVEY 2003‑2008, FACILITIES MASTER PLAN CONSULTANTS, AT A FIXED PROFESSIONAL FEE OF $331,449, AND A BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION. Summary Explanation and Background: This contract is for the preparation of a Five-Year Educational Plant Survey as required in the provisions of Section 1013.31, Florida Statutes and State Requirement of Education Facilities Chapter 3, Section 3.1. For FISH validation, the firm will review, update, and verify square footage and usage with site visits to all buildings in the district. The firm will also enter FISH data into the DOE database. The Master Plan will project facility needs in five year, ten year, and twenty year increments. The Professional Services Committee of the Duval County School Board met on March 31, 2003 and recommended the selection of the firm of URS Construction Services. New Century Commission Recommendation/OPPAGA Recommendation/Council of Great City Schools Recommendation: Financial Impact: This agreement is based on fixed professional fees and the fixed professional fee includes $50,632 for additional services.
