Title: 4. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STAFF AUGMENTATION
Requested Action:
RECOMMEND THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE SOURCE OF SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STAFF AUGMENTATION WITH LOW CONFORMING BIDDERS FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2008 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008. RECOMMEND AUTHORITY BE DELEGATED TO SUPERINTENDENT OR HIS DESIGNEE TO RENEW THE CONTRACT FOR SUBSEQUENT YEARS PROVIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. THERE ARE TWO POTENTIAL RENEWALS.
Summary Explanation and Background:
This is a procurement request by the Chief Technology Officer to purchase Information Technology Staff Augmentation Services from awarded vendors resulting from submissions to ITB-003-08/EM. The top six bidders in each of four areas (Operations Support, SAP Support, GIS Support and Applications Support) were selected according to criteria contained in the ITB. A committee of five members of the district's IT staff evaluated the submittals based upon proposed services and performance references. This bid was coordinated through the office of Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the solicitation. (ITB-003-08/EM)
