Title: 6.  TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT TO BROADSTONE JACKSONVILLE BEACH, LLC, AT JACKSONVILLE BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO. 144

Requested Action:

THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT TO BROADSTONE JACKSONVILLE BEACH, LLC, FOR MINOR RE-GRADING AT JACKSONVILLE BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO. 144.

 

THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD AUTHORIZE ITS CHAIRMAN AND THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS TO EXECUTE THIS DOCUMENT WHEN FORM APPROVED BY THE OFFICE OF GENERAL COUNSEL.

Summary Explanation and Background:

Broadstone Jacksonville Beach, LLC, is developing property adjacent to Jacksonville Beach Elementary School No. 144.  Minor re-grading is needed next to the small isolated wetland area located along the western boundary of the school site.  The impact to the school site will be minimal and will affect a small area of approximately 585 sq. ft. (13 ft. x 45 ft.). 

 

This re-grading will only take a few days and will have no impact to the operation of the school.

 

The principal is aware of this project.

Financial Impact (Including HR/headcount/Source of Funds):
The value of the temporary construction easement is nominal due to the relatively short period of the encroachment.  The district will not receive any compensation for granting this easement.
