Title: 1.  WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS

Requested Action:
THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE A SOURCE OF SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS TO PREMIER WATER FROM DATE OF AWARD THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2008.  RECOMMEND AUTHORITY BE DELEGATED TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OR HIS DESIGNEE TO RENEW THE CONTRACT IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS PROVIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.  THERE ARE FOUR POTENTIAL RENEWALS.

Summary Explanation and Background:
This is a procurement request by the Director of Property Management/Warehousing to provide a source of supply for Water Treatment Chemicals.  This bid was coordinated through the Office of Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the solicitation. (ITB-016-08/LM)
