Title: 5. NEW NORTH SHORE K-8 SCHOOL NO. 70: REVISED PROJECT, REVISED PROJECT BUDGET DCSB PROJECT NO. C-91080 ATHLETIC FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS AT ANDREW JACKSON HIGH SCHOOL NO. 35: REVISED PROJECT AND REVISED PROJECT BUDGET Requested Action: THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE A REVISED PROJECT AND PROJECT BUDGET, INCREASING THE PROJECT BUDGET AT NORTH SHORE K-8 (C‑91080), IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,064,250, TO A REVISED TOTAL BUDGET OF $32,264,250, AND A BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION. Summary Explanation and Background: Project No. C-91080 is for the replacement of North Shore Elementary School with a new K-8 facility to include consolidation of Norwood Elementary School No. 23 and Lola Culver Elementary School No. 13. Project No. M-85350 is for the renovation and remodeling of the field house, concession stands and ADA upgrades at Andrew Jackson’s stadium. These budget revisions are necessary to reassign funds to the North Shore K-8 project for execution of the Andrew Jackson stadium construction under the existing contract with Ajax Building Corporation. The district benefits from an improved delivery schedule, no additional construction management pre-construction phase fees or contractor mobilization costs, and no issues stemming from existing site constraints and a second contractor’s mobilization. These projects were listed on the Board approved Long Range Capital Outlay Plan (North Shore K-8) and the 06-07 Major Maintenance List, line item no. 52 (Andrew Jackson).
