7. Renovations and Improvements at Mt. Herman exceptional student center No. 164 and Alden Road exceptional student center No. 252: Phase III (construction) DOCUMENTS

Requested Action:
THAT THE DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE PHASE III (CONSTRUCTION) DOCUMENTS AS PREPARED BY THE FIRM OF DESIGNWORKS ARCHITECTS, Inc., FOR Renovations and Improvements at Mt. Herman exceptional student center No. 164 only.

Summary Explanation and Background:

The project scope shall consist of improvements at Mt. Herman Exceptional Student Center No. 164.   The work consists of ADA improvements; egress improvements; bathroom renovations; and grease trap replacement.

 

Phase III (construction) documents will be available for review in the fifth floor conference room of the Central Administration Building after 1:00 p.m. the day of the School Board meeting or at other times by contacting the Facilities Services Department.

 

This project was listed on the Board approved 06‑07 Major Maintenance List (line item no. 76) and Five Year Long Range Facilities Plan 06‑07 (#6).

The design is proceeding on schedule with the anticipated substantial completion in December 2008.

 

The total budget for this project is $1,779,000.

 

The planned funding source for this project is PECO and millage.
