Title: GRANT OF A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE AT WESCONNETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO. 57

Requested Action:

RECOMMEND GRANTING A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE DURING THE ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF WESCONNETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO. 57 WIDENING THE PAVEMENT, ADDING DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, AND TURNING LANES.

Summary Explanation and Background:

The City of Jacksonville is improving Wesconnett Road and will require a Temporary Construction Easement at Wesconnett Elementary School to tie in and harmonize the sidewalk and driveway entrances to the newly paved surfaces.  The proposed easement contains a total of 970.7 sq. ft.  Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2003 and will continue for approximately 18 months. 

The City of Jacksonville provided an appraisal report concluding a value of $2,200 for the proposed easement.

The School Board will receive $2,200 for the temporary use of this property.
