Title: 4. Track Resurfacing and Repair

Requested Action:

RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF SOURCE OF SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR TRACK RESURFACING AND REPAIR WITH LOW CONFORMING BIDDER ALL AMERICAN TRACK CORPORATION FOR THE PERIOD AUGUST 6, 2003 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2004.  RECOMMEND AUTHORITY BE DELEGATED TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OR HIS DESIGNEE TO RENEW THE CONTRACT FOR SUBSEQUENT YEARS PROVIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE TO THE DISTRICT AND SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. THERE ARE TWO POTENTIAL RENEWALS.

Summary Explanation and Background:

 

This is a procurement request to provide a source of supply for track resurfacing and repair to be utilized by the Maintenance Department at schools throughout the district.  The estimated expenditures for this contract are $113,100.  This bid was coordinated through the Director, Minority Business Affairs and any recommendations were included in the bid solicitation. (ITB 024-03/CP)
