11. Additions, Remodeling, Renovations and Site Improvements at Jean Ribault High School No. 96, William M. Raines High School No. 165, and Window Replacement Work at Jean Ribault Middle School No. 212:  Change Order No. 6 for Rattler Construction, Inc. 

Requested Action:
RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 6 IN THE ADDITIVE AMOUNT OF $140,000.00, TO A REVISED CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $2,325,301.01, WITH A 171‑DAY TIME EXTENSION TO THE CONTRACT WITH RATTLER CONSTRUCTION, INC., AND A BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION.

Summary Explanation and Background:

This project provides window replacement Phases I and II, wall and door repairs to the 200 hall, re-piping and restroom renovations at Jean Ribault High School No. 96, and restroom renovations at William M. Raines High School No. 165.

This change will provide compensation to the contractor for work interruption at Jean Ribault High School No. 96.  The time extension is necessary due to the interruption of construction during FCAT preparation.

This project was listed on the Board approved Long Range Capital Outlay Plan Schedule and Major Maintenance List.

Change Order No. 6 = $140.000  Rev. Const. Contract = $2,325,301.01

With approval of this change order, the total of all changes to this contract to date is $701,301.01.The amount of this change is within budgeted funds.

The planned funding source for this project is millage.
