Title: Report from Auditor General FEFP FTE Restoration of Audit Adjustments for the Fiscal Year ended 1998-99

Requested Action:
Present to the Board for information, the Auditor General Report on the FEFP FTE Restoration of Audit Adjustments for the FT 98-99 and place into the minutes of the Board meeting as part of public records of the Board.

Summary Explanation and Background:

Pursuant to State Board of Eduation Rule 6A-1.0453(5), Florida Administrative Code, and in response to the request of the School District of Duval County, Florida, an informal conference between the District and the Department of Education (DOE) was held on August 26, 2002, to discuss certain findings and audit adjustments which were presented in report No. 01-086, issued February 6, 2001.  The informal conference panel subsequently issued a memorandum dated September 10, 2002, which recommended the restoration of various negative FTE audit adjustments presented in report No. 01-086.  The panel's recommendations were accepted and approved by the Commissioner of Education. 

The report is required to be accepted by the School Board and ordered to be made a part of the official minutes of the Board.

A copy of the report is available in the Board Office for review.

Financial Impact:
Will be determined by the Department of Education at a later date.
