In the 2008/09 school year, Baldwin Middle-Senior High School introduced the EX.C.I.T.E (Expediting Careers in Teacher Education) Academy. The EX.C.I.T.E. Academy starts freshman students on a career path in education by providing them with the skills, training, and instruction needed to facilitate a crossover into their own post-secondary schooling. The academy also supports students in becoming confident, proficient, and dedicated to the mission of learning.

The application for the EX.C.I.T.E. Academy can be obtained in the guidance office. Completed applications should be submitted to Mrs. Rebecca Couch.

Note: Only students who will be starting the 9th grade in the 2009/10 school year are eligible.
