A Message from Our Principal
Dear
Parents/Guardians:
I have had a wonderful first year at
Brookview. Together we have accomplished a lot and we look
forward to another great year! The information you supplied in
your survey was very helpful and will be addressed as a target goal
for Brookview. Your voices were heard and with your input and
guidance, we will continue to strive to keep Brookview the absolute
best!
Parents, we are calling on you once again for added support
for a successful new school year. This summer please set a
schedule that maintains the expectation in your home for your
child(ren) to read for at least 20 minutes a day and practice basic
math facts. This will help build their reading skills and they
will also be able to exercise the reading strategies that were
taught to them this year. You could also build your child's
background knowledge by just taking them to a public library
periodically and/or exposing them to unique events. I
challenge you to create special moments that only you as a parent
could share. I encourage you to do it now while they're young.
I hope to see everyone well rested and well read
with literacy on August 18th eager and ready to learn. Below
are dates for the new school year that will help with your household
planning. Have a wonderful summer!
Sincerely,
Shana Adams
Principal
