I am a native Floridian, born and raised in the Jacksonville area. I attended Duval County Public Schools and graduated from Fletcher High School in 1979. I am married and have two children; one is a student at Julia Landon Middle School and the other is a student at Chets Creek. I enjoy surf fishing, swimming, biking and walking along the beach. Our bunnies keep us hopping at our house. Last count....17! I have spent many years in this community singing, performing and teaching. I was a charter member of the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus. I have sung with the St. Johns Arts Singers and also with The Continentals. My travels with The Continentals provided performance opportunities in 43 of our 50 states as well as Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Korea, Thailand, Australia and Fiji. Music has been a part of my life since childhood, and I am thrilled to be able to share my musical heritage with the children of Chets Creek Elementary. I believe very strongly that the Arts should be an integral part of every child’s educational experience and it is my great pleasure to serve the children of Chets Creek through my teaching and to nurture in them a life-long love of music.
