I grew up in the small town of Endicott, New York (known only for its Chicken Spiedies, Enjoie Golf Course, and delicious Italian food). I am the oldest of five children. My siblings are 6, 10, 12, and 19. Although I am far away, I am extremely close to my family. After spending twenty years in the rain and snow, I decided to finish my degree in the sunny state of Florida. I have now lived in Jacksonville for five years with my dog, Romeo. Before taking a job teaching at Chets Creek, I taught three years in the Extended Day Program at Chets. I was then lucky enough to do my internship at Chets with the wonderful, Elizabeth Conte! This will now be my third year teaching Kindergarten. I will be co-teaching with Laurie Thomson. I feel so blessed to have a job I love! I became a teacher because I love children and it is important to me to have a career that allows you to put your family first. I didn't realize then how rewarding it would end up being. To me as a teacher, there is no greater joy than getting to know all of your students as individuals and for them to walk away from your classroom with a love for learning!
