I knew from the time that I was very young that I wanted work with small children when I grew up. I spent many summers and vacation days going to work with my dad, who was an elementary school principal in a neighboring school district. I would always migrate towards the Kindergarten and First grade classes to help out any way that I could. When I started spending more time volunteering in my kids’ classes than I did at my “real” job I decided to go back to school to become a full-time teacher. What a dream come true to end up here at Chets Creek! My husband and I met when we ran Cross Country and Track at UNF; he has since taken over as head coach. We have been married for 17 yrs. We have two children, Daniel (15) and Kaley (12). They both attended Chets Creek. We enjoy camping, hiking, going to the beach, canoeing, riding bikes, running and pretty much any outdoor activity. Reading is another of our favorite things to do! We love animals and we currently have four cats and are on the look out for just the right puppy to add to our home this year. This is my fourth year at Chets and my second year co- teaching First grade. I am very excited to be co-teaching with Debbie Harbour this year. I love being here with the Chets Creek Family- there’s no greater school on earth!
