Welcome
to Chaffee Trail Elementary School! Our goal is to provide your
child with a 21st century education embedding technology into
instruction. Our students today are global learners so it is of
the utmost importance to teach your child how to become an independent
learner. A child’s elementary educational experience sets the tone
for establishing a pattern of life-long learning. Here at Chaffee
Trail our goal is to establish that effective pattern so that your child
will experience success at all levels throughout life. We welcome
you as a part of our family and encourage you to participate in your
child’s education with us.

State opens FCAT hotline for parents
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The first ever FCAT hotline is now available to parents who have questions about their children's scores. The call center is a response to last week's surprisingly low FCAT reading results and the outrage from parents. Kelly Sealy, a hotline operator, says a lot of callers are just looking to voice their frustrations. The hotline is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The number is (866) 507-1109.

We will be participating in
Scholastic's Read for the World Record summer reading program this year.
It is a free on-line program where students record the minutes they have
read from now until August 31 on
www.scholastic.com/summer If we are one of the top 20 schools to
read the most minutes, then Chaffee Trail will be featured in the 2013
World Record book!!!
