CHARACTER EDUCATION
At CLE we have high expectations for you as model American citizens. Therefore, we instill
high expectations for behaviors on our buses, walking to and from school, in all rooms of our school, and when representing us on field trips.
A school is a place where students are expected to learn. The school must be a safe place and nurturing place. Everyone must work together to make sure students can learn.
Our standards are consistent from classroom to classroom. Consequences and rewards are left to the discretion of the teacher. If a DCPS Code of Student Conduct is broken, an administrative referral is filed, and consequences will be followed as set by the DCPS School Board.

Standards for Expectations can be found in our planners and the DCPS Code of Conduct. Planners in grade 2-5 allow parents and teacher frequent communication.

Our grades are averaged weekly in K-2 and daily in 3-5. We use this classroom conduct chart to help us stay focused on schoolwork and appropriate behaviors.
